Keep reading below to learn more about her.
Why Did You Decide to Become a Dentist?
Dr. Moreno’s reason for becoming a dentist is a very simple one – she wanted to help people become healthier through her work! She still feels very confident that she made the right choice for her lifelong career.
Where Did You Study Dentistry?
After attending Angelo State University, Dr. Moreno pursued her dental doctorate at the UT Health San Antonio School of Dentistry. She spent seven years as a staff dentist in a community health clinic and participated in the National Health Service Corps before leaving for private practice. Today, she has advanced training in Level 1 Sedation and diode laser treatment. She’s also a member of the American Dental Association and Texas Dental Association.
Outside of the Dental Office, What Do You Like to Do?
Dr. Moreno and her husband have one beautiful daughter and a very spoiled rescue dog named Loki. Outside of working hours, you can typically find her traveling with her family, reading, sewing, or cooking. She also has a strong passion for rescue dogs, and when she retires (way in the future), she likes the idea of opening a Husky rescue group. Interestingly enough, she used to work as a research technician before becoming a dentist and primarily worked with rodents, so she still has a bit of a soft spot for rats and mice as well!
